#Oxy and The Great Outdoors Fund are partnering to enhance recreation opportunities in multiple states, helping to develop infrastructure that allows more people to experience and enjoy nature. Our first collaboration of 2024 was to build a new fishing dock, after the previous dock was removed due to damage at Brantley Lake State Park in southeast New Mexico. More than 75,000 visitors enjoy the park each year, and this new dock will provide improved lake access and fishing opportunities for park visitors. 🎣

A team of 80 Oxy employees, friends and family participated in the 2024 Bike MS: Texas MS 150 helping us reach an incredible milestone of $2.1 million in cumulative donations over a 22-year partnership with the National MS Society. Congratulations to the cyclists who completed the journey and a big thank you to the volunteers, donors and everyone who played a role in this year’s fundraising efforts. The two-day, 150-mile bike ride from Houston to College Station is the largest single annual fundraiser for the Society and every mile and dollar makes a difference.

Oxy and 1PointFive volunteers were out in force at the annual Midland Earth Day Festival! A joint festival hosted by West Texas Food Bank and Keep Midland Beautiful, this event brings the community together to promote agricultural education, sustainability and healthy nutrition. During the festival, we gave tours of the Oxy Biodomes, a project designed to educate children about food sources and healthy nutrition—and supported cooking demonstrations and agricultural exhibits by local organizations. 🌳🌎 #EarthDay #EarthMonth

Last week we celebrated our top U.S. volunteers of 2023 with a Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast! At Oxy, one of our core values is #CommitToGood. Our employees embody this value by giving back to their communities. In 2023, Oxy volunteers logged over 4,000 volunteer hours working with our domestic community partners to support health and safety, education, arts and culture, civic goodwill, the environment, military and veterans and social services. A big thank you to our volunteers and our community partners!

Oxy’s Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging program aims to cultivate an environment where employees feel connected, supported, and valued. April is Neurodiversity Awareness Month, and our FRIEND ERG hosted a one-of-a-kind experience, which included presentations, information sharing, and real-life neurodiverse simulations, to promote a greater awareness and understanding of people with neurodiverse conditions including ADHD, autism and dyslexia. The event provided a fun, interactive and safe space for dialogue which reflects the culture we are committed to providing for employees at Oxy. #neurodiversity
